Homogenizers and Tackfiers

Homogenisers promote the ease of blending different polymers and improve their compatibility with one another. They ensure that mixed rubber batches are compact and increase the mixing efficiency, resulting in improved and faster distribution and greater homogeneity. Homogenisers often increase the tackiness of compounds, while also improving flow properties and optimising the mechanical properties of the vulcanisate. For example, in butyl rubber, the use of a good homogeniser like Struktol HT 324 lowers gas permeability, in addition to improving processability and filler distribution.

  • Best suited for dark compounds
Struktol® 60 NS Flakes
  • Mixture of light aliphatic hydrocarbons
  • Yellowis pastilles

Packaging: 20 kg bags
Density: 950 kg/m³
Softening point: 100 °C
Dosage: 4 - 10 phr

  • The same effect as Struktol 40 MS but intended for use with light coloured compounds
  • Excellent colour stability
Struktol® HP 55
  •  Mixture of dark hydrocarbon resins and fatty acid derivates
  • Dark brown pastilles

Packaging: 20 kg bags
Density: 1040 kg/m3
Melting point: 100 °C
Dosage: 5 - 15 phr

  • Combination of homogeniser and lubricant
  • High performance additive for highly filled SBR, NR and blends
  • Improves the mixing behaviour and gives especially good calendaring and extrusion performance. Flow properties and surface are improved, shrinkage is reduced
  • Increased green strenght and easier batch off handling
