Thickening agents

Latex thickening agents are used to increase and adjust the viscosity of latex mixtures. Thickening agents are used in latex compounds where thin films or sheets are produced, by casting for example, their use acts to increase film thickness and prevent strikethrough into fabric layers.

  • Aqueous solution of ammonium salt of methacrylic acidacrylic ester copolymer
  • Falls under the class of alkali swellable emulsions (ASE)
  • 6,5 % active content

  • Aqueous solution of ammonium salt of a hydrophobically modified acrylic acid copolymer
  • Falls under the class of hydrophobically modified alkali swellable emulsions (HASE)
  • 2 % active content
     
  • Thickening agent used to adjust latex compound viscosity over varying shear rates
  • UV-stable
