Textile Chemistry
Silicones are multiple used in the area of textile finishing. They improve the wearing comfort of synthetic and organic fibres, keep the breathability or protect - if required - against penetration of moisture.
AMINO FLUIDS
Organic modified Silicones are used as basic products in the formulation of textile auxiliaries.
ANTIFOAMS / DEFOAMERS
Textile finishing baths often occure undesired foam formation. Silicones can help to avoid this problem, they can be offered tailor-made for the specific defoaming application.
HYDROPHILIC SOFTENERS
In textile industry fabrics are often equipped with hydrophilic softeners in order to guarantee an increased absorption of sweat. Particularly toweling, underwear and sportswear are treated with special Silicones.
HYDROPHOBIC TREATMENT
In the sector of outerwear and technical textiles a hydrophobic surface of fabrics is desired. In this case special modified Silicones can be applied.
OTHERS
Silicones are able to positively modify the elasticity of knitwear and natural fibers. They can reduce the formation of knots and improve sewability.
TEXTILE SOFTENERS
In order to improve the soft grip of textiles, synthetic and organic fabrics are treated with Silicones.
